About Simply Startup
Simply Startup is a place to post an idea before it's a company — a game, an app, a local business, a side project and to find the people who want to help make it real. Founders describe what they're building and what they need; everyone else browses, follows progress, and reaches out directly through the platform. No pitch decks, no funding requirements, no crowdfunding — just a straightforward way to find collaborators for something you're building.
The Problem
Most people with a promising idea don't have a way to find help early on. Job boards assume you already have funding and a company. Crowdfunding sites assume you want money, not people. Social media buries good ideas in noise. There's no simple, low-pressure place to say "here's what I'm building, here's what I need" and have the right people actually see it.
The Solution
A dedicated space for early-stage ideas — startups, creative projects, local businesses — where founders can describe what they're building, list the roles or skills they need, and let interested people reach out. Visibility controls mean founders can keep sensitive details private until they trust who's asking. It's built for the "not yet a company" stage that most platforms skip over.
Current Progress
The core platform is live: startup profiles, opportunity listings, in-app messaging, follows and updates, partnership requests between startups, and founder tools like analytics, a roadmap timeline and applicant tracking. Account security (MFA, session management) and idea-protection controls (visibility gating, access requests) are also in place. This listing itself is a test to see how it looks and reads from a visitor's perspective.
Future Plans
Next up: growing the number of active listings across more categories, refining how opportunities get matched to the right people, and using feedback from real founders and collaborators to prioritize what's built next.
