Cookie Policy
Last updated: this is a demo document for the Simply Startup prototype.
What cookies we use
Simply Startup keeps things simple: we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to make the site work. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies of any kind — no ad networks, no cross-site trackers, nothing sold or shared with data brokers.
The cookies, specifically
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| simplystartup_session | Keeps you signed in between visits. This is what makes login work at all. | 30 days, or until you log out | Essential |
| simplystartup_cookie_ack | Remembers that you've seen the cookie notice, so we don't show it to you again. | 1 year | Essential |
Because both cookies above are strictly necessary for the site to function (staying logged in, and remembering you've seen this notice), we don't show a consent gate asking you to opt in — that's only required for non-essential cookies like analytics or advertising, which Simply Startup doesn't use.
Local storage and similar technologies
Some parts of the product may use your browser's local storage for short-lived interface state (for example, remembering a draft you were filling in). This data stays on your device, isn't sent to us, and isn't used for tracking.
Controlling cookies
Since we only use essential cookies, disabling cookies in your browser will prevent core features like staying logged in from working, rather than opting you out of tracking (because there isn't any). You can still clear or block cookies at any time through your browser's settings if you'd prefer.
If this changes
If Simply Startup ever adds analytics or other non-essential cookies in the future, this page will be updated to say so clearly, and a proper opt-in consent choice will be added for those specific cookies — not bundled in with the essential ones described here.
